Tragically some time ago now, the Synod which Esphigmenou has been under, the GOC-K, registered with the Greek state as a "Heterodox" religious organisation. Not a requirement, but something which gets more favourable tax treatment.

Kallinikos and his Synod, already guilty for failing to discipline their cathedral in Astoria, New York, for many years, for consistently giving communion to unrepentant New Calendarist heretics (their Synodal Secretary, Bishop Photios of Marathon, claimed in an email to me that he didn't have enough evidence (I had supplied him the name of a witness I knew and still know well, also well known to him) to act had already carried out a false union in 2014 with unrepentant Cyprianites. Thus, in addition to their uncanonical refusal to consecrate (in 2011) a bishop for the True Orthodox Serbs (The canons, see the Council of Carthage, etc, require a local bishop to be consecrated within a year of a request, and the Serbs had been waiting for many years, eventually remedied by RTOC Archbishop Tikhon of Omsk and all-Siberia and his fellow bishops of the RTOC with the consecration of Akakije at Lesna Monastery in Normandy, France), one of many examples of their oppressive phyletism against all non-Greeks, with Kallinikos being by far the worst example of this, and the giving of communion to Ecumenists, meaning that they fall under the anathemas and canons against co-worshipping with and giving communion to heretics, and, as Bishop Philaretos of Pallini and Western Europe of the RTOC points out on his website www.trueorthodox.eu, GOC-K thus added Sergianism to its previous Cyprianism.

On top of this, Esphigmenou has consistently declined to take their case to the European Union (EU) and other international courts. Just as St. Paul exercised in full his rights as a Roman citizen in terms of the legal system in his day, it behoves Esphigmenou to do likewise. It is very hard to see them losing if they do so.

At the same time, and even more importantly, they need to leave the GOC-K, another set of bullies, and come under the omophorion of a real True Orthodox Synod.
