The story of St. Neot...and legitimacy and restoration...

See above for details.
As far as I know, there are just two (True) (Orthodox) Christians legitimately descended from Alfred the Great, who would pass, therefore, both the prerequisite test of being of the true faith, and the secondary test of being a member of the senior royal House, the House of Cerdic and Wessex. We would also pass the tertiary test of capacity, and the quaternary test of being old enough not to require permission to rule as a young king who has not yet reached adulthood. The fifth test is of gender, with males being preferred. We also both pass this. The sixth test is as to whether any of the heirs belong to a more senior branch. There's nothing to differentiate us in this regard The seventh test is as to whom is the elder of the two. That is me, which makes me the Atheling, or the senior claimant. It is up to a properly constituted Witangemot (aka Witan) to decide whether or not to elect the Atheling. And, if not, which other (True) (Orthodox) (Christian) to elect in their stead. The eighth test is of the existence of a (True) (Orthodox) Bishop, whose see includes the primacy of England, Canterbury, who is willing and able to crown the new King. That test is met.
The ninth test is of the Kingdom itself, of its worthiness.
As related in the Vita Eduardo, the deathbed prophecy of St. and King Edward the Confessor, who died on January 5, 1066 foresaw that a year and After the death of St. Harold II through martyrdom at the battle of Hastings on 14th October 1066, King Edgar II, the Atheling, ruled.
However, he was usurped by the Norman invader, backed by a papal blessing, Guillaume le Bâtard (aka William the Bastard), born out of wedlock who had been legitimised in terms of the Duchy of Normandy, Kingdom of France, but never by the Kingdom of England, whom Stigand, Archbishop of Canterbury, and as such at the time refused to crown, when the Archbishop of York illegitimately crowned William on 06th January 1067. Because of the replacement by William, of (True) (Orthodox) Christianity by the post-1054 heretical Papist Romanism (called "Roman Catholicism", but actually, as St. Alexis Khomiakov and others have pointed out, "Roman Protestantism" which denies the Catholicity of the Equality of Bishops and thus of the Church), degenerating further, later, into the (Germanic) Protestantism of the Reformation. There has been no legitimate reigning monarch of the successor states to the Kingdom of Wessex, England, England and Wales, Great Britain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and the current United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK for short), and thus, by extension, of any of their overseas territories, or countries now in a personal union with this crown, including the Isle of Man, and the independent countries which have been collectively known as the (English crown (Duchy of Normandy) since 1204, or more commonly,) the Channel Islands, namely Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, and Sark (and its dependent island of Breqhou), as well as of the overseas Dominions such as Canada and Australia and New Zealand. Only a tiny proportion of these domains are currently (True) (Orthodox) Christian.
So, the ninth test has still not passed.
St. Edward's Deathbed Prophecy foresaw the hope that, towards the end of time, there would be a (true) restoration, "when the branch, having travelled 3 furlongs away, is reunited to the healing sap of the tree, without the intervention of man". This means the re-implantation of the (True) (Orthodox) Church in England without, initially, the conversion of the powers that be as a whole.
This has already happened.
Separate to this, is the prophecy of St. Nectan of Hartland, (Devon, now in England), that his cave-tomb would be opened once the true faith was restored to the (overwhelming majority of the population of the) land. When an attempt was made, in the 19th century, to open his tomb, a voice was heard to come from within "the time has not yet come". Indeed, it had not! They proceeded no further.
The calendars of a number of the saints, as related, for example, in postings on the Byzantine Prophecy Facebook Group, run out in 2037, and the so far (up to part 13 of 24 parts) entirely reliable Anonymous Prophecy of Mount Athos of 1053, shows that the Great (East-West) Schism of 1054 would finally be resolved through the return of the West to (True) (Orthodox) Christianity, amidst rejoicing. This also confirms St. Malachi's later prophecy of the cessation of the Roman Papacy.
There's also the prophecy by Nostradamus of an unexpected person succeeding to the English throne.
So, around about 2037, the restoration is likely. Should I live that long, I will turn 72 that year, and could be that unexpected person.
Pray for the restoration of legitimate monarchy and government everywhere! And for the institution of legitimate Government everywhere that has yet to experience it!
