All Orthodox saints that have shone forth in the British Isles - taken from Orthodox wiki plus today's sermon


Note: This does not include all Saints with some ancestry in the British Isles whose activities were mainly or exclusively outside the British Isles. 

The British Isles is defined very broadly here, to include all of Great Britain, Ireland, the Manx islands and the Channel Islands.

To introduce the feast below I'm drawing on the rough notes of Reader Vladimir Moss's sermon today. He wrote the original service for the feast, first held in 2001, which draws on the style of the All-Saints of Russia service.

All Saints' Sunday is on the First Sunday after Pentecost. All Saints of Russia is on the Second Sunday after Pentecost. And All Saints of the British Isles, is on the Third Sunday after Pentecost.
