Some investment was postponed or cancelled from the time of Cameron's speech promising an in-out referendum in the (de-) Conservative and (dis) Unionist Party election manifesto in 2013. Cameron pointedly ignored the UK's fastest growing religion by far, Orthodox Christianity, overwhelmingly opposed to same-sex "marriage", in his 2009 introduction to a book on sale for £10 published by his party's official "Christian" ginger group, as did the group throughout this publication. Likewise the Lib Dems and Labour at a very well attended free  joint conference of the ginger groups in Westminster.

I was accused of disrespect and threatened with forcible physical removal by the Conference Chair, the then Daily Telegraph (and Independent) Religion correspondent at this conference for asking why the fastest growing type of Christianity had been omitted. My religious and medical dietary requirements hadn't been met (I helped myself to the food of a no show which did meet them).
